WELCOME MESSAGE

Selamat datang and a very warm welcome to the Land Below The Wind!

This year, the annual event – 15th Malaysian International ORL-HNS Congress & 43rd MSO-HNS Annual General Meeting -returns to Sabah; the last time was in 2010. We are fortunate to be able to hold the event in the newly aesthetically designed Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) which overlooks the breathtaking coastline of this beautiful city.

After a two-year experience of being in the pandemic, we have prepared a hybrid event in which participants can attend physically in the SICC or virtually in the comfort of their home or office. Expecting the possibility of another lockdown due to emerging COVID-19 strains, we pray that this event will not have to be converted to a full online format, as we had witnessed for our annual conference in 2021, despite meticulous planning.

In continuing with the practice of previous years, we have maximized our effort to cater to all subspecialties of ORL-HNS, and also will provide avenues for postgraduate students, paramedics and audiologists to participate.

In keeping with the theme ‘Embracing the past as we move forward’, the focus will be for the speakers to tailor their topics to share their own experiences on how they have progressed over the years. A special keynote will be given by the first ORL surgeon in Sabah on this area as well.

The Organising Committee eagerly awaits your participation in this hybrid event and forthose who are able to join physically, it will be a good time to meet up, renew acquaintance and make new friends.

Dear all,
Only two months away and we have been working very hard to come up with an exciting
scientific programme to suit everyone.

We have also been getting huge participation in the abstract submissions. We would like
to remind all participants not to do online transfer prior to registration. Instead, please pay
while performing the online registration,

To those who have paid double to enable registration, we will refund you at the Congress
itself. Kindly email your proof of payment (both the receipts) to secretariat@msohns.com
for us to record your case to ease the refund process.

We hope this little glitch will not deter the rest to come join us in June. The weather is
expected to be great and the Covid numbers has been promising.
